Parents are interested in choosing educational toys for their children. These toys encourage the children to learn specific skills through a fun and enjoyable way. Educational toys are designed to teach specific learning activities that children needs at various ages. They can teach children about every area of life. They promote intellectually, emotional, and physical development. They help children to understand that different objects have different properties and to learn how to combine them to create other interesting objects. Educational toys possess a "low floor" allow children to play without needing a lot of advance experience or knowledge. Ideal educational toys also possess a “high ceiling” because toys grow with them. Thus, educational toys encourage convergent thinking such as  puzzles and questions that have one answer. On the other hand, educational toys increase divergent thinking that depends on imagination and the freedom to think as construction toys .
